Pertamina Elevates Eight Local MSMEs to Global Stage at SIAL Food and Drinks Indonesia 2026 to Drive International Export Expansion

PT Pertamina (Persero) has taken a decisive step toward strengthening the global competitiveness of Indonesian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by facilitating the debut of eight flagship local businesses at the prestigious Salon International de l’Alimentation (SIAL) Food & Drinks Indonesia 2026. The high-profile international food and beverage exhibition, which ran from November 4 to November 6, 2026, at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, served as a vital strategic bridge connecting homegrown producers with prospective global buyers, institutional suppliers, and international supply chain distributors.

This landmark initiative underscores Pertamina’s continuous commitment to national economic development through targeted capacity-building and strategic market access expansion. By leveraging its flagship Small Medium Enterprise Partnership Program (SMEPP), the state-owned energy enterprise successfully curated eight standout enterprises from thousands of active fostered partners spread across the archipelago. The rigorous selection criteria heavily emphasized high production capacity, superior product quality, strict compliance with national and international regulatory frameworks, and demonstrated readiness to engage in high-value business-to-business (B2B) commercial transactions.

Chronology and Preparation: Rigorous Training for Global Readiness

The journey of the eight selected MSMEs to the floor of SIAL Food & Drinks Indonesia 2026 began months prior to the exhibition doors opening. Recognizing that entering the international B2B marketplace requires more than just high-quality goods, Pertamina instituted a comprehensive pre-event incubation and training curriculum.

Leading up to the November 4 launch, participating entrepreneurs underwent intensive modules focusing on advanced business communication, tactical product pitching, international trade negotiations, and digital supply chain management. According to Pertamina’s SMEPP Manager, Fety, these preparatory workshops are designed to equip local producers with the sophisticated skill sets demanded by multinational procurement officers.

"We brought eight carefully selected MSMEs that we curated from thousands of our fostered partners because we observed strong potential in both their production capacities and product excellence, rendering them fully prepared to forge business-to-business partnerships," Fety stated on Friday, November 6, 2026.

Fety further emphasized that maintaining consistent product quality and fulfilling delivery deadlines with absolute precision are foundational pillars for sustaining long-term international commercial relationships. Furthermore, obtaining internationally recognized product certifications and comprehensive legal documentation remains a critical priority to instill absolute confidence in foreign buyers and institutional distributors.

Fostering Strategic Partnerships and Sustainable Economic Growth

The participation of these local businesses at SIAL Food & Drinks Indonesia 2026 aligns seamlessly with Pertamina’s broader corporate communications and social responsibility objectives. Vice President Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Muhammad Baron, noted that the exhibition serves as an invaluable catalyst for creating direct networking channels between local producers and global retail giants.

"We aim to directly connect our fostered MSMEs with prospective buyers whose purchasing demands align precisely with our partners’ production capacities. Our overarching objective is to see these initial business encounters evolve into sustainable partnerships and recurring repeat orders. When the market reach of our MSMEs expands, the resulting socioeconomic benefits flow directly back to the local communities and regional workforce involved in the regional production processes," Baron explained.

The eight enterprises chosen to represent Pertamina at the 2026 exhibition showcase the immense diversity and rich agricultural heritage of Indonesia. The distinguished lineup comprises Naza De Coco, Roemah Rempah, Dapur Sehati, Natural Bali Kulkul, Dede Satoe, Alzavera, Bali Taru Rahayu, and Legend Tren. Each business brought distinct value propositions to the exhibition floor, ranging from tropical fruit preserves and premium spices to innovative plant-based materials and culinary condiments.

Spotlight on Success: Case Studies of Resilience and Innovation

Among the standout participants are Bali Taru Rahayu and Naza De Coco, two enterprises that exemplify the transformative impact of Pertamina’s SMEPP mentorship framework.

Based in Denpasar, Bali Taru Rahayu has been a proud Pertamina partner since 2020. Founded by entrepreneur Ni Wayan Sudanti, the business specializes in transforming Indonesia’s abundant tropical fruits into artisanal fruit spreads boasting a remarkably high fruit content exceeding 65 percent. Out of roughly 20 distinct flavor profiles developed by the company, its signature mango, lemongrass, and ginger jams have successfully penetrated the high-end hospitality sector, securing procurement contracts with prestigious five-star hotels across Bali. Through its presence at SIAL Food & Drinks Indonesia 2026, Sudanti aimed to introduce her culinary innovations to executive chefs and forge lucrative supply agreements with luxury hotels, fine-dining restaurants, and international airline catering services.

Meanwhile, Naza De Coco, hailing from Ciamis Regency in West Java, represents a remarkable triumph of rural industrialization and inclusive entrepreneurship. Founded by Enok Sri Kurniasih, the enterprise converts locally sourced coconut water into high-value nata de coco products. Operating with an impressive production capacity of approximately 20 tons per week, Naza De Coco directs roughly 90 percent of its total output toward the B2B segment, supplying major industrial food and beverage manufacturers.

As an inspiring entrepreneur with a disability, Enok has transformed her enterprise into a powerful engine for community empowerment, actively employing nearly 50 women from surrounding rural areas in her daily production operations. Beyond its conventional applications in the food and beverage industry, Naza De Coco has pioneered cutting-edge research and development initiatives, utilizing its microbial cellulose output as an eco-friendly, sustainable alternative material to animal leather for fashion goods such as footwear and handbags.

"We are a small enterprise rooted in a rural village, but with Pertamina’s steadfast support, our market boundaries have essentially become limitless. We have acquired invaluable knowledge ranging from strategic business planning and business model canvas development to navigating online digital marketplaces," expressed Enok.

Alignment with National Policy Frameworks and Sustainable Development Goals

Pertamina’s ongoing investment in MSME empowerment through programs like SMEPP resonates deeply with broader national development objectives and international sustainability frameworks. The initiative directly supports Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8, which promotes sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all.

Furthermore, the enterprise’s capacity-building efforts are strategically aligned with Indonesia’s national policy priorities, specifically the third tenet (Asta Cita ke-3) focusing on the active promotion of national entrepreneurship and creative economic independence, as well as the sixth tenet (Asta Cita ke-6) emphasizing the strengthening of equitable economic growth originating from rural and village-level economies. By building robust bridges between rural producers and international markets, Pertamina continues to demonstrate how state-owned enterprises can successfully drive grassroots economic resilience while simultaneously projecting Indonesian excellence onto the global stage.
